Headknot answers
$12 / month. Changed from $15 on 4 June 2026.
Sources
Search would have returned whichever page ranked highest, with no way to tell you the number moved in June. Headknot stores facts as dated claims, so it knows both what the answer is and when it stopped being something else.
How it works
Connect your sources once. Headknot does the organizing, so you can just ask.
Link Google Drive, Notion, Slack, GitHub and more in a click, and Headknot keeps them up to date automatically. Or upload files and point it at a public URL for anything that lives outside your tools.
Docs · Chats · Tickets · Spreadsheets · Uploads
It reads everything and maps out the people, projects and decisions — and how they all connect. One living picture of what your team knows, with no tagging or upkeep.
People · Projects · Decisions · Connections
Ask in plain language and get cited answers — how many, what changed, who’s connected to what. Or open the graph and follow the connections yourself.
“How has the roadmap changed since Q1?”
What it does
You connect the tools you already use. Headknot reads them, works out how everything fits together, and answers your questions from it — showing the documents behind every answer.
Ask everything you’ve connected like you’d ask a teammate. Go beyond who and what — ask how many, compare and filter, follow connections across sources, and see how things changed over time. Headknot shows its work as it answers, and cites every source.
Bring in docs, chat, code and records — Drive, Notion, GitHub, Slack, Jira and more — kept up to date automatically. Upload files for the rest.
Connect a source and Headknot reads what is in it — documents, chat threads, tickets and spreadsheets. It keeps reading as things change, so you are never asking questions of a stale copy. There is nothing to tag, sort or maintain.
As it reads, Headknot picks out the people, projects, decisions and topics inside your content and records how they relate — who owns what, which decision produced which document, what a project depends on. That map is what lets you ask a question whose answer is spread across four tools. Where the same person or project is named differently in different places, they are recognised as one thing.
Answers arrive with the exact documents behind them, so checking one takes a click rather than a search. When your content does not actually contain the answer, Headknot says so instead of producing something plausible.
Facts are stored with the date they were true, and the old value is kept when a new one arrives. So you can ask what a number is now, what it was in March, or when it changed — and get told that it moved, rather than quietly getting the newest page.
How to tell if an answer is still true →Search matches both the words you typed and what you meant, at the same time — so a half-remembered phrase still finds the document. Narrow by source, type or date when you already know roughly where to look.
Mark any source, document or item sensitive and it disappears from people without access — and is never used to answer anyone. Roles decide who can do what, access can be requested and approved, passwords and personal data are flagged automatically, and every action is logged.

Pricing
Plans differ on scale, freshness, reasoning depth, and governance — never on access to the core knowledge graph.
Top-ups — running low before your monthly reset? Add 500K words or 100 AI questions for $5, one-time. Neither renews, and both are available on any paid plan.

How the meters work
Every document costs its full word count when you connect it — and its whole length again if you edit it, because we re-read the whole thing. Unchanged documents cost nothing on re-sync. Resets on the 1st; unused words do not carry over.
Your monthly questions follow you, not the workspace. Ask in a teammate’s workspace and it spends your allowance, not theirs — and if you run out, their plan covers you when it has room.
No manual refresh and no run cap — every plan keeps your connected sources fresh on the same automatic schedule.
A one-time $5 top-up adds either 500K words or 100 AI questions for the month you buy it in — neither renews, so there is nothing to cancel. Buy another whenever you need one.
Prices in USD. Annual = 2 months free (Pro $120 vs $144). Paid plans are recurring; Free needs no payment.
Enterprise is coming soon — custom limits and the trust layer (SSO/SAML, SCIM, DPA, SLA). Contact sales to talk early access.
FAQ
Everything you need to know about how Headknot turns your tools into answers.
Because an answer here is assembled from facts that carry a source and a date, rather than summarised from whichever document matched your wording. Every answer shows the documents behind it, so you can check it in one click. And when the underlying fact changed, Headknot tells you it changed and when — the failure you are describing is usually a stale fact delivered confidently, and that is the specific thing a dated claim prevents.
Headknot reads from the sources you connect and never writes back to them — it cannot post, edit or delete anything in Slack, Notion or anywhere else. You choose which sources to connect and can disconnect any of them at any time. Workspace roles control who sees what, and you can mark any source, document or item sensitive so it is hidden from people without access and never used in an answer.
There is nothing to migrate, nothing to maintain and nobody to train — you connect a source and ask a question, and everything else stays where it already is. That also makes it cheap to stop: disconnect the sources and nothing about how your team works has changed. Start on the free plan, with no card, and find out on your own content before asking anyone else to care.
Instead of leaving your knowledge buried in folders and threads, Headknot maps the things inside your content — people, projects, decisions — and how they connect. That structure is what lets you search by meaning and ask real questions, not just keyword-match.
Every integration is available on every plan — including Free — with no limit on how many sources you connect: Google Drive, Notion, GitHub, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Linear, GitBook, Coda and more. You can also upload files (PDF, Word, Markdown, text) or point Headknot at a web page to crawl.
Anything from a quick lookup to a real question — “how many active users does Project Atlas have?”, “who owns the pricing decision?”, or “how has the roadmap changed since Q1?”. Every answer cites the sources it came from.
No. Headknot reads your sources and builds the graph automatically — no manual tagging or structuring. It does the heavy lifting out of the box.
Headknot keeps your connected sources in sync on a schedule, so the graph reflects your latest content. There’s nothing to refresh by hand.
Yes. Headknot uses AI to organize your content into a connected knowledge graph and to answer your questions with cited, source-grounded responses.
Free includes 20 questions per month; Pro includes 250 per month and can be topped up with add-on capacity as you grow.
Workspace roles control who can do what, and you can mark any source, document, or item sensitive on any plan — it’s then hidden from people without access and never used in answers. Pro adds a full governance workflow: request-and-approve access, automatic flagging of passwords and personal data, and an access audit trail. Single sign-on and directory sync are on the Enterprise roadmap.
